Chimney Inspections in Tarzana and the San Fernando Valley
Most chimney problems are invisible from the living room. Cracked flue tiles, a failing crown or a loose cap can go unnoticed for years. An inspection catches them while they are still small.
A Level 1 inspection covers everything readily accessible and is right for routine yearly checks. A Level 2 adds a video camera scan of the full flue and is the one to get when you're buying or selling a home, after an earthquake, or after a chimney fire.

Common questions
What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?
Level 1 is a visual check of the readily accessible parts of the chimney. Level 2 adds a camera scan of the entire flue and a closer look at accessible attic and crawl spaces, and is what you need for real estate sales or after an earthquake.
Do I need an inspection after an earthquake?
Yes, if the quake was strong enough to feel clearly. Chimneys are one of the first parts of a house to show earthquake damage, and cracks inside the flue can't be seen from below.
Will I get a written report?
Yes. You get photos and a plain-English written report you can share with your insurer, buyer or seller.
